Taekwondo Etiquette

Etiquette, discipline and respect are a large part of Taekwondo as with many martial arts.

General Taekwondo Etiquette

• Always bow when entering or leaving the training hall (dojang)
• Always bow when walking onto or off of the training mats, facing inwards
• Always refer to senior grades as sir
• When bowing to others, bow low and break eye contact to show respect
• When holding pads, hold properly to allow others to train correctly
